2021 Skateboard Clinics Announced!

Skate DSM is hosting a series of four youth skateboarding clinics in 2021 at the Lauridsen Skatepark!  Sign up for each clinic individually, or for all four to receive a beginner, progressive teaching program, based on your skill level. Register here

PACKAGE DEAL

  • Sign up for all four clinics for a more personalized coaching experience designed to help beginner skaters improve their skills over the course of the summer.
  • Cost: $100 for all four clinics

SKILL LEVELS & GOALS

Beginner Skill Level – Beginner skaters will have an opportunity to learn the basics of skateboarding and safety from skilled, local skaters. All participants are welcome regardless of skill level, although skaters should have experience standing and rolling on a skateboard. Skaters will be grouped by skill level and paired with the appropriate instructor.

  • Experience: 0-2 Years
  • Skills: Basic maneuver skills including balance, pushing, stopping and turning.

Intermediate Skill Level – Intermediate skaters will have an opportunity to improve their skateboarding skills by learning from from skilled, local skaters. All participants are welcome regardless of skill level, although skaters should have experience standing and rolling on a skateboard. Skaters will be grouped by skill level and paired with the appropriate instructor.

  • Experience: 2+ Years
  • Skills: Ollie, pop shuv-it, flow, grind

REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

Advance registration is strongly recommended. If we have not reached our limited capacity, skaters may have the option to register on the day of the clinic beginning at 8:30am.

All skaters, whether you register in advance or day of will be required to complete a registration form, and sign a liability and covid-19 waiver. Additionally, all skaters are asked to sign a standard photo and video release form allowing Skate DSM to use photos and video taken at the clinic for promotional purposes. A parent’s signature will be required on the waiver for any registrant under 18. Parents must be present at the clinic for any registrant under age 12.

HELMETS & FACE MASKS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THIS CLINIC

COVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS

Skate DSM is taking the safety of all participants seriously. They are following CDC and industry guidelines to protect all skaters, coaches, and spectators. Skaters should plan on:

  • Wearing a mask – Face masks are mandatory for anyone attending the event over the age of two.
  • Daily health assessments – All skaters are required to complete a COVID-19 liability waiver and health assessment before participating in the clinic.
  • Socially distancing
  • Keeping clean – We will have sanitizing stations at the clinic.
