The Dew Tour Announced that they will be coming to Des Moines for 2021! Sanctioned by World Skate as Pro Tour Level Events for Men’s & Women’s Skateboard Street and Park; 2021 Summer Dew Tour to be Held May 20-23 at the New Lauridsen Skatepark. View the press conference below:
- Dew Tour announced on Tuesday, March 23 that the event will move to Des Moines, Iowa after four years in Long Beach, Calif. The city and tourism board in Des Moines are excited to welcome Dew Tour to the brand new Lauridsen Skatepark, an 88,000 square foot concrete skatepark that is now the largest in the U.S.
- The event will serve as the ONLY global Olympic Qualifying event for Street and Park Skateboarding disciplines in the United States this year (2021) leading into the Tokyo Olympic Games in July, where skateboarding will make its debut.
- The official Dew Tour event dates are Thursday, May 20 – Sunday, May 23, 2021. The full competition schedule will be updated at DewTour.com.
- Dew Tour has always been free and open to the public. With the current COVID-19 pandemic, details around hosting public spectators are being evaluated amongst Dew Tour, World Skate, and local and state event partners as it pertains to safety and health of athletes, staff and fans. The plan is to open daily to limited spectators. More information surrounding this will be announced soon.
